Virtual Presentations that Work

Virtual Presentations that Work

Virtual Presentations that Work

More and more business professionals are delivering presentations using electronic conferencing software (e.g., Adobe Acrobat® Connect™ Pro, WebEx™). You are excited with the possibilities of this new medium, but you are also apprehensive about how you will rise above its limitations. This intensive workshop will help you develop and deliver virtual presentations that are both interactive and inspirational. It includes a wealth of practical ideas to apply in your own environment. Consider this workshop your organization’s primary resource for building virtual presentation skills.

Virtual Presentations that Work – Basic

8 – 2 hour sessions over 8 weeks

The goal of this workshop is to endow you with a laundry list of techniques that you can begin implementing immediately. Initially the workshop will cover the benefits and capabilities of virtual presentations, how businesses are using virtual presentation to increase their success, the basic differences between virtual and face-to-face presentations, synchronous and asynchronous communications environments, when to consider a virtual presentation (and when not to), the virtual presentation tools themselves, and what you need to deliver virtual presentations that move people.

You will then become proficient in implementing the 10 elements of successful virtual presentations including administration and preparation, gaining attention and establishing relevance, introducing yourself and others, identifying objectives and setting expectations, presenting information, conducting demonstrations, asking and answering questions, initiating and managing discussions, promoting interaction, and ending with a bang.

During the final leg of this workshop, you will tackle the skills of avoiding and resolving technical problems, converting existing presentations to virtual presentations, creating excitement and motivation, and overcoming attendee silence and resistance.
